Actor Joseph Benjamin has knocked his colleague Eniola Ajao for using crossdresser Bobrisky to promote her latest film Beast of Two Worlds at a cinema in Ikeja after her public apology.
The US-based actor voiced out his opinion in a post on X on Tuesday, after videos of Bobrisky and Eniola at the cinema went viral.
Bobrisky arrived at the cinema for a meet and greet on Monday and was welcomed by a large crowd. Many fans trooped in to take pictures with the crossdresser.
Reacting to the video, Joseph Benjamin faulted Eniola’s decision to invite the crossdresser to promote her film despite her apology.
He wrote: “I thought Eniola was crying, saying the award was a publicity stunt to market the movie. Now Bobrisky is doing a meet and greet? For the same movie. Who is fooling who please. Smh.”
The announcement of Bobrisky as the best-dressed female at the movie premiere on March 24, sparked controversy on social media.
Actor Femi Adebayo who announced Bobrisky as the winner, also received backlash from the public and faced criticism from his colleague Dayo Amusa.
The actor, his wife Aduke and Dayo engaged in a war of words on March 27, forcing Eniola to put out a statement on Instagram, apologising to everyone.
In her statement, Eniola said she decided to announce Bobrisky as the best-dressed female to promote the film, adding that it was a publicity stunt.
