Yoruba actor Eyiwumi Aramide, better known as Muka Ray, has been appointed as senior special assistant on culture and tourism to Kwara State governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.
Muka Ray shared the good news in an Instagram post on Thursday.
He wrote: “SPECIAL THANKS to the people’s Governor, MALLAM ABDULRAHMAN ABDULRASAK, the KWARA STATE GOVERNOR for appointing me as the SENIOR SPECIAL ASSISTANT to the Governor on Culture and Tourism. Insha Allah its 4+4.. Hmmmm uncle Yinka @realyinkaquadri, you are one in a million. Thank you all I am now Honorable Muka Ray.”
Fellow celebrities like Yinka Quadri, Faithia Williams, Omoborty, Funke Etti, Madam Saje, Adeniyi Johnson and Kunle Adegbite congratulated him in the comment section of the post.
Muka Ray hails from the Ipetu/Rore/Aran-Orin ward in Irepodun LGA of the state.
He has featured in several hit movies including Oko Asewo (2007), Inu Obinrin (2005), and Oro Lanre Pesije (2005).
With his appointment, he joins the league of Nollywood stars who have held political offices such as Richard Mofe-Damijo, Kate Henshaw, Desmond Eliot, Femi Adebayo, Bob Manuel Udokwu, Hilda Dokubo and Ini Edo.
