Actress Doris Ogala has called for prayers over the health condition of actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu.
Doris made the call in a post via Facebook on Thursday with several heartbreaks and crying emojis.
“Please pray for Mr Ibu,” Doris Ogala wrote.
She, however, did not reveal the reason for the sudden call for prayers, leaving many to worry over the actor’s current health status again after his adopted daughter Jasmine said he was improving.
Jasmine shared a video on her Instagram page Thursday, 10 days after it was announced that the actor had undergone seven successful surgeries, including an amputation of one of his legs.
The 42-second footage detailed how she has been taking care of Mr Ibu since he was admitted to a hospital. She also stated that the actor’s health condition has improved.
Jasmine captioned the video, “As long as you are getting better, nothing else matters. I remain silent until you are back on your feet again! Cheers.”
The caption was in response to the multiple allegations against Jasmine by Mr Ibu’s wife Stella Maris.
Stella Maris made a post accusing Jasmine of denying her access to the funds donated for Mr Ibu’s surgery. She further claimed Jasmine and her stepson Daniel secretly got married and are planning to relocate abroad.
The woman made the allegations while responding to self-acclaimed activist Verydarkman’s allegations that she accused Jasmine of highjacking money meant for Ibu’s surgery because she wanted to buy a brand-new iPhone, a car and undergo butt enlargement.
Mr Ibu’s health struggles made the news in October when a video of the actor soliciting for help was released on his official page.
On October 31, Mr Ibu’s family expressed gratitude to God and the general public for their support and encouragement, while disclosing that he recovering in an intensive care unit (ICU) after undergoing five successful surgeries.
