Actress, Funke Abisogun, dies days after childbirth

Nollywood actress, Funke Abisogun, has died barely four days after giving birth to a baby.

Her brother-in-law, Tunde Yusuf, announced the death on Sunday evening in a message uploaded to Instagram.

He did not state the cause of death.

ADIEU FUNKE… Just days ago, people celebrated with you for the delivery of Ur baby, now the Sun set at noon and U are no more… May God look after the new born child and give Ur husband, the family, friends of the family and the industry at large the fortitude to bear the loss. The deceased was known for her roles in Olowo Silee and Ajofeebo among others.

Her husband, Taofeek Al Hassan Abisogun, posted a picture of himself, the actress and their baby at the hospital on Instagram on Saturday with a message asking God to do something in his life.

The actress didn’t look well in the picture.
