Actress Obey Etok Chima has announced the death of her dad who passed on a few hours before her husband’s burial.
The Singles and Married actress made the announcement on her Facebook and Instagram accounts on Friday.
“Another blow on me. I just lost my dad and I am burying my husband today. It is well oo,” she wrote on Instagram.
“What a tragedy. 2024. I just lost my dad early hours of yesterday 11th April. Just a day to bury my husband. It is well,” she wrote on Facebook.
Some of her colleagues and several fans consoled her in the comment section of the post.
Obey’s husband Chima Iheke died on January 15, 2024, at age 57.
The service of songs which was held on March 22 in Lagos, was attended by some of her colleagues including Maureen Solomon, Blessing Asibe, Kalu Ikeagwu and Vera Kanu.
Obey who is popularly for her role in the Super Story soap opera No Pain No Gain, took a break from acting in 2008 to focus on her marriage and children.
She returned in 2021 and has been featured in movies and series such as Cheta M, Rude China, Wife for Chrismas, Love and Hook Up and Life List.
