Nollywood actress, Remi Surutu, has remembered her daughter Ayomikun who died one year ago.
In a post to Instagram on Monday, Remi recounted the pain of losing her daughter and how difficult it is to go on without her.
“How do I recount the memories we shared together? How long do I have to stay strong without you by my side? How much strengths do I need, for me to realize that you have truly embarked on a journey of forever? Ayomikun…it’s a year today!!! Ayomikun…we miss you at every moment of thought,” she wrote.
Ayomikun reportedly died from complications arising from sickle cell anaemia.
Her passing was announced on social media by Nollywood actor, Yomi Fabiyi, who expressed his shock.
Remi, born Remilekun Oshodi, kicked off her acting career in 1985 with the classic TV series, Village Headmaster and Sparks.
She shot into limelight as the lead character in the indigenous movie Surutu.
