Actress Vivian Metchie has demanded an apology from her colleague Halima Abubakar following the latter’s recent apology to Apostle Johnson Suleman.
Vivian made her demand on Instagram on Thursday, reminding the public that in 2022, Halima included her name on a list of actresses who had sexual relationship with the pastor.
The movie star explained that she asked Halima for evidence at the time, but received no response.
Vivian said that Halima owes her an apology after withdrawing her allegations.
“Na wah o! I have been immobile for over 2 months due to a torn ligament in my right knee,” she wrote.
“For those who saw me, they know… I woke up to see Halima’s apology (I would tag her, but her settings won’t allow it).
“But where is my apology? Two years ago, she put my name on a list of people who supposedly ‘knew’ a pastor. I asked for evidence, but none was provided. Halima, where’s my apology?”
She continued, reflecting on her silence during the controversy, “For 2 years, I stayed silent, not because I was guilty, but because my children were young. Now, I have time. Halima, where’s the evidence or my apology?”
Halima’s apology on Instagram on Wednesday came after years of controversy surrounding her allegations against Apostle Suleman, which included claims of serious illness and multiple miscarriages.
The apology follows a lawsuit filed by Suleman in 2022.
Earlier this year, the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja ordered Halima to pay N10 million in damages for defaming the preacher.
