Fans and players from across the footballing community have been offering their support to Super Eagles goalkeeper, Carl Ikeme, after being diagnosed with acute leukaemia.
His club, Wolverhampton Wanderers, was the first to break the sad news on Thursday evening.

Ikeme was expected to be fit for Wolves’ new campaign after missing the closing stages of the last due to injury.
The knock also made him unavailable for his country’s last game against South Africa in June.
Now it appears his managers, fans and teammates may have to wait a little longer before having their safe pair of hands back.
Here’s how the world reacted as soon as the shocking news broke.
This is devastating!
