In his post, Don Jazzy demanded for the freedom of Sowore.
“This dangerous precedent of stifling opposition voices and dissenting opinions has survived enough. Let’s not pretend our nascent democracy isn’t being sabotaged when citizens shudder at the thought of people they elected into power. I plead for Sowore #FreeSowore #VoiceOfTheDon,” he wrote.
Mr Sowore is charged alongside Olawale Bakare popularly known as Mandate.

In the charges instituted against the defendants, Sowore and his co-defendant are accused of conspiring to remove the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Sowore is also accused of money laundering in breach of section 15(1) of the Money Laundering (Prohibition) Act.
The charges were filed a day before the expiration of the detention order permitting the Department of State Service to keep him for 45 days.
