Singer Adekunle Kosoko, well known as Adekunle Gold, has expressed his gratitude to his former boss at YBNL Records, Olamide, for being instrumental in establishing his musical career.
Late Thursday, Adekunle shared a picture of his first album on X (formerly Twitter), appreciating Olamide and reflecting on his growth over the past eight years.
According to the ‘Orente’ singer, he was a young graphic designer when Olamide gave him the chance to design the YBNL logo and become part of the record label.
“Thank you @olamide for giving that young graphic designer the chance to not only design the YBNL logo but to be a part of your family,” Adekunle Gold wrote.
Olamide, touched by the gesture, responded with a warm message, saying, “Fam for life.”
Adekunle Gold also shared his journey from having just a dream to achieving his goals: “All I had was a dream. I knew I had a special gift and I said to myself, ‘the world must hear this, they must know my name, these stories I have to share must mean something to people, these songs must find a home in people’s hearts.’ 8 years ago, my life changed forever!”
