Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has lost his in-law Tohir Sanni, husband of his elder sister, Dupe Adeleke-Sanni.
A statement on Sunday by the governor through the commissioner for information and public enlightenment, Kolapo Alimi, condoled with his sister, describing the deceased as a dear nice, kind and easy going father figure.
Adeleke expressed shock over the death of his in-law, stating that he played prominent roles in his emergence as governor.
He recalled the many contributions of the 74-year-old, particularly his exemplary life style as a good father, great and grand father, who did a lot for the growth and development of Islam and humanity in general.
“Governor Adeleke also acknowledged and appreciated the many contributions of the late Baba Sanni to him personally, especially during the struggle to become the Executive Governor of Osun state.

“He prayed Allah to grant him Aljanbah Firdaus just as he urged the family he left behind to take solace in the fact that he lived a good life,” the statement said.
The burial took place on Sunday evening in the Challenge area of Ibadan.
In an Instagram post, Adeleke wrote, “I received with shock but total submission to Allah, news of the death of Alhaji Tohir Aderemi Sanni, the beloved husband of my sister, Yeyeluwa Dupe Adeleke- Sanni.
“Alhaji Sanni was an exemplary character to me and many others with his simple lifestyle as a father, grandfather, great grandfather and a religious leader.
“I commiserate with my sister and the entire Sanni family over this unimaginable loss of a very loving and easy going father figure. May Allah grant him Aljanatul-Firdaus.”
