Actor Adeniyi Johnson has addressed his suspension from the African Men Entertainment Kings (AFRIMEK), a club known for its influential members in the entertainment industry.
The announcement of Adeniyi’s suspension was made on AFRIMEK’s Instagram page on Saturday, where the club accused him of misconduct and breaching their constitution.
The post featured Johnson’s picture and stated:
“ADENIYI JOHNSON is hereby suspended indefinitely from the club (AFRIMEK). He has no right to portray himself as a member and is estopped from participating in any club activities. This decision is borne out of his gross misconduct and breach of the club’s constitution.”
In response, the actor took to his Instagram page on Sunday to express his disappointment and concern over the allegations. He urged his fans to remain calm while he deals with the situation.
He wrote, “It saddens my heart that my honourable club made such a derogatory post about me!! Please note that I am not bigger than the club, but before the club there has been Adeniyi Johnson. If care isn’t taken, that post will do more harm than good!
“I feel this is detrimental to my name, my family, standard, and even upbringing— more importantly, my brand.
“I hereby implore my family, friends, and teeming fans to stay calm and continue to show unwavering love and support!!!
“To all associates, I remain my humble self and thanks for the continuous belief and trust!! God pass us all!!”
Prior to his suspension, Adeniyi served as the Public Relations Officer of AFRIMEK.
AFRIMEK boasts of notable members, including Femi Adebayo, Ibrahim Chatta, Muyiwa Ademola, Odunlade Adekola, and Jamiu Azeez Olamilekan.
