President of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Akinwumi Adesina has held a party in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire in celebration of his wife’s 60th birthday.
Among the attendees were the philanthropist and chairman of UBA Group, Tony Elumelu; and chairman of Ovation Media Group, Dele Momodu.
The birthday party is coming months after Mrs Grace Adesina clocked 60.
In a tweet, the AfDB boss described his wife as his “best friend” and a blessing to him and many worldwide.
“My Darling Wife Grace (Yemisi) turns 60! Happy 60th birthday today my sweetheart, darling wife, and best friend. Your life is a blessing to me and many around the world,” he said.
“You are beautiful and adorable. I love you 60 times over. You are a treasure!”
The AfDB, a multilateral development finance institution, is headquartered in Abidjan since September 2014. Adesina has been its CEO since September 2015.
