Yoruba gospel singer Adeyinka Alaseyori has celebrated her senior colleague Tope Alabi on her 51st birthday.
The ‘Oniduro Mi’ singer who uploaded a photo of Tope in a red dress also wrote a goodwill message to her on Instagram on Wednesday, October 27.
In the message, Adeyinka thanked Tope for breaking limits and boundaries and also fulfilling God’s purpose in her life.
“Thank you for breaking limits and boundaries. Thank you for making it possible for most of us to dream. Thanks for holding on strong.Thank you for being all that God has called you to be. A very happy birthday to you ma’am. The best of your days have just begun ma. Congratulations momma,” she wrote.
The singers made headlines in June 2021 after Tope criticised her Adeyinka over the latter’s song ‘Oniduro Mi’, saying it belittles God’s capacity.
According to her, the song, which means ‘My Guarantor’, does not explain God’s powers fully.
“God is beyond being a guarantor to Man. I’m not saying that the song is not beautiful. However, when we receive heavenly inspiration to sing, there are some deliberations we must have with the Holy Spirit before we can bring out such a song,” she said.
Reacting during her birthday concert, Adeyinka appealed to her fans who attacked Tope to allow peace reign. She also described the latter as a mother in the industry.
Meanwhile, Tope’s husband Olusoji Alabi has also wished her a happy birthday. In an Instagram post, the man expressed his love for his wife and also prayed for her.
“Happy birthday to my best friend, my lovely and dearest wife. You will live long to eat the fruit of your labour. No weapon formed against you shall prosper in Jesus name. I celebrate the grace of God in your life. God bless your new age. Love you forever,” he wrote.
