Ghana’s Black Stars have qualified for the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations thanks to goals from Ayew brothers, Jordan and Andre.
The pair who are children of Ghana legend, Abedi, were the goalscorers as the four-time champions defeated DR Congo 2-1 on Sunday at the Stade d’Oyem, Gabon.
Jordan, the younger of the two brothers opened the scoring in 63rd minute after the first half ended in a stalemate.
The Leopards perked back through a thunderous strike from Paul-Jose M’Poku less than one minute later.
However, Ghana had the last laugh after Andre converted a spot-kick in the 78th minute.
The West Ham United midfielder stepped up to bury a penalty following a foul on Christian Atsu.
Ghana will now face another four-time winner, Cameroon, in the last four on Saturday.
The Black Stars narrowly missed out on the title in the last edition following a penalty shootout loss to eventual winners, Cote d’Ivoire, in the final.
