The Super Eagles have debunked speculations that attacker Kelechi Iheanacho exchanged blows with his colleague Henry Onyekuru.
A video of Iheanacho, 25, dragging Onyekuru, 24, near an elevator had surfaced on social media on Monday.
As they held each other, goalkeeper Francis Uzor was seen recording the scene.
The video ended with midfielder Wifred Ndidi, who plays for Leicester City alongside Iheanacho, and other players laughing.
Some social media users questioned the timeliness of the incident, saying the Eagles should be composed to play Egypt in their first group game on Tuesday.
However, the Super Eagles swiftly tweeted that there was no fight.
“There was no fight anywhere, guys were having fun,” the tweet read.
Leader of the Nigerian delegation at the 2021 AFCON in Cameroon Ibrahim Gusau had assured that the Nigerian team will display high level of discipline during the championship.
Nigeria will take on Sudan and debutants Guinea Bissau in the remaining group games.
