Ahead of the crucial two-legged Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Libya, 22 Super Eagles players have reported to the team’s Uyo base on Tuesday night.
The arrivals enabled Gernot Rohr and crew to organize a full training session on Tuesday evening, as the three –time African champions prepare to pluck all three points from the Group E pace –setters.
Stand-in skipper, Ahmed Musa and vice, Ogenyi Onazi lead the group.
Goalkeepers Francis Uzoho, Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Daniel Akpeyi, as well as defenders William Ekong, Semi Ajayi, Leon Balogun, Olaoluwa Aina, Jamilu Collins, Abdullahi Shehu, Chidozie Awaziem and Kenneth Omeruo are among those at the Ibom Meridien Hotels and Resort.
There are also midfielders Wilfred Ndidi, Samuel Kalu, Ogenyi Onazi, John Ogu and Oghenekaro Etebo, and forwards Isaac Success, Alex Iwobi, Moses Simon, Henry Onyekuru and Kelechi Iheanacho.
Only Russia and China–based pair Bryan Idowu and Odion Ighalo are being expected on Wednesday.
The Mediterranean Knights top Group E with four points while South Africa are second and Nigeria lie third.
