Enyimba goalkeeper, Ikechukwu Ezenwa, says he will be fit for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Libya.
Ezenwa has struggled to reach top form since switching to the Aba Elephants last year.
The ex-FC IfeanyiUbah custodian was beaten four times in the Aiteo Cup defeat to Kano Pillars on Sunday.
Despite his poor showing and injury, however, Ezenwa is confident to be ready for the double-headers against the North Africans.
“I will be fit to hit the camp. First of all, I want to thank God that the injury wasn’t that serious,” he was quoted by FootballLive on Monday.
“It was just because of the heat and I couldn’t see well but with the medical attention I got I think I have recovered well.”
Reacting to the injury scare, Enyimba Media Officer, Bariza Samuel, disclosed that the goalkeeper received comprehensive medical care from the team’s medical staff.
“He (Ezenwa) got injured in the first half but he is fine now. He was involved in a collision and couldn’t see clearly so he was taken out.
“I spoke with him after the game and he said he was fine and ready to be in the Super Eagles camp today (Monday).”
Nigeria will host Libya on Friday in Uyo before travelling north in three days.
