Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson, who buried her mother Elizabeth Johnson on Friday, has sent her condolences to D’banj over the death of his son.
D’banj lost his son on Sunday, in a drowning accident at the family’s home in Ikoyi, Lagos.
In a post to Instagram on Monday, the 33-year-old also revealed that she has said her final goodbye to her mother who died a month ago.
“We said our final goodbye to our loving mother a few days ago. Adieu Mama. Thanks to everyone for your prayers and support during this time.
“My heart and prayers go out to @iambangalee and his family at this loss. God give you the strength. God be with you,” she wrote.
An indigene of Kogi State, Mercy is the fourth child in a family of seven.
Her mum was married to a former naval officer, Daniel Johnson.
Mercy’s mother was one of her strongest supporters during her wedding in 2011 following allegations that the actress snatched her husband, Odianose Okojie, from another woman.
“Mercy is unique, I can never deny her anytime any day, she is gifted and God has used her to bring the family up, so if anybody is stepping on my joy, he or she will face the wrath of God,” she said in an interview published in Vanguard.
