A mobile court in Abuja has fined controversial singer Naira Marley N200,000 for violating the presidential ban on interstate travels and public gathering on June 13.
This comes barely 24 hours after the singer born Azeez Fashola and his manager were arraigned at the Lagos State Special Offences (Mobile) Court in Oshodi, Lagos and were fined N100,000 each for same offence.
The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) had filed a four-count charge against him for hosting a concert in Abuja.
Naira Marley, 26, during his trial at the Eagle Square, Abuja on Friday pleaded guilty and the presiding magistrate Idayat Akanni handed down a fine of N200,000 on him.
The magistrate further ordered him to publish a public apology in any national newspaper.
