Ahmed Musa has reportedly claimed he’s on his way out of Leicester City but his destination remains unclear.
He told Complete Sports on Tuesday: “I don’t know where I’m headed yet but hopefully I will leave to play regularly.”
But it now appears that mystery club is Stoke City.
Signed for then Leicester record fee in 2016, the Nigerian failed to justify his colossal price tag last term.
However, that appears to have worsened this term as the ex-CSKA Moscow winger has featured only once for the Foxes.
More worrying, Musa has been overlooked not only on the pitch but also for a spot on the bench this season.
All is pointing towards a January exit for the player and from all indications, the Britannia could be his likely destination.
With the FIFA World Cup on the horizon, anywhere but not the dugout is where the 25-year-old is aiming for.
“He has made his mind. By January Musa will move to Stoke,” his representative was quoted by AOIFootball on Wednesday.
Stoke too have struggled this season.
The Potters, currently one spot from safety, are in dire need of a revival of any sort.
Musa may just be that player to provide the spark for Mark Hughes’ team.
