Super Eagles winger, Ahmed Musa, was in blistering form for CSKA Moscow on Saturday when they walloped Mordovia 7-1 in the Russian Premier League.
Musa, 23, scored once and assisted two others to help the Red Blues crush their visitors and move back to the summit of the log.
The former Kano Pillars man notched his 11th of the season and his side’s third of the game in the 25th minute through a solo effort.
His pace and skills was way too much for the struggling side who had no antidote to his menacing runs all through the game.
CSKA scored five goals in the first half-hour as last-placed Mordovia failed to put up any fight.
Mordovia defender, Igor Shitov, opened the scoring with an own goal as he tried to clear a cross, before Roman Eremenko, Alexander Golovin, Musa and Sergei Ignashevich all scored for the Militarians.
The visitors scored a consolation goal through Sergei Samodin in the second half but more goals followed from Eremenko and Alan Dzagoev who were both put through by Musa.
The victory is the biggest in the Russian Premier League this season.
