Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has tweeted in support of the #EndSARS movement sweeping through the country.
Ahead of Nigeria’s friendly with the Desert Foxes of Algeria on Friday, the 27-year-old also drew attention to the security threats in the north.
“In a world where genuine love for ourselves seems to be so scarce, I sincerely pray that the right thing is done to put an end to the strife. #EndNorthBanditry #EndPoliceBrutality 😭😭,” Musa wrote.
His tweet comes amid requests by some Nigerians on social media for the Super Eagles to bend a knee before kick-off on Friday in Austria in support of #EndSARS.
The Super Eagles will take on Algeria at Worthersee Stadium in Klagenfurt following a change in the venue which was initially Jacques Lemans Arena.
Nigeria will, however, play Tunisia on October 13 at Jacques Lemans Arena barring any last-minute change.
