Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has come under criticism after a picture of his wife Juliet kissing him on the cheek appeared on Facebook.
Some social media users said Musa’s private life should be kept away from the public.
“Ahmad try to secure ur wife and her dignity, not profuse (sic) ur life matter to the world. Hide it for you only, like ur personal data’s (sic) or ATM pin,” Fodio Fandirma wrote.
Muhammad Awwal Ahmad said: “Please my mentor this posting is not good for you.”
Yunusa Turaki said: “Your family is secrète (sic) brother.”
Babatunde Olanrewaju asked the winger: “…Where is your first wife?”
Liman Liman exclaimed: “You are not supposed to post this pic bro.”
“Truths be told, it’s wrong gaskiya,” Mohammed Haruna said.
Rising to the former Leicester City player’s defence, some Facebook users said they did not see anything wrong with the picture.
“People, stop taking life too serious, he hasn’t done anything wrong by taking that picture,” Hannah Smith wrote.
Najeebullah Al-Hussein said: “You people are demented. What the heck is wrong with this pic huh? Just go and find something reasonable to do!”
Godfrey Joseph also said: “Hmmm this people ehhh what is wrong posting a picture with his wife? You that is saying it’s wrong I believe you will do worse than this.”
