Nigeria’s largest carrier Air Peace has announced that its Lagos to London route would go for as low as N1.2 million on economy class ticket, sparking huge competition with foreign airlines.
The London service is set to commence on March 30.
In a statement on Wednesday, the airline said flight schedules for the London route are now available on its website.
The company priced its business class ticket at N4 million.
Furthermore, the airline said it had created a special 15% rebate on the economy fares for Nigerian students studying in the UK, in its quest to support education and facilitate travel for students.
Air Peace leads Nigeria’s aviation industry with a network comprising 21 domestic routes, 10 regional routes, and now, seven international destinations with a growing fleet, comprising over 30 aircraft.
London will be the the company’s seventh international destination since kicking off operations less than a decade ago.

British Airways’ economy class return ticket from Lagos to London cost $2,698 which amounts to about N4.7 million, using the N1,778 to a dollar International Air Transport Association (IATA) rate on the airline ticketing platform. The airline’s business class tickets cost $8,598 which amounts to about N15.2million.
For Virgin Atlantic, economy classic costs $1,745 which amounts to N3.1million, economy delight costs $1,797 which amounts to almost N3.2million, economy premium costs $3,442 which amounts to N6.1 million.
Business class on Virgin Atlantic costs $7578, which is N13.5million.
Economy return ticket on Qatar Airways costs between $973 to $2,095 which amounts to around N1.7m and N3.2m depending on the ticket class.
Business class ticket on Qatar Airways costs between $3,826 and $4,757 (between N6.8m and N8.4m).
