First Lady Aisha Buhari and wife of the Vice President, Dolapo Osinbajo, have led wives of governors to praise healthcare workers as the world marks Workers’ Day.
Mrs Buhari shared a video on Twitter on Friday in commemoration of frontline healthcare workers responding to the coronavirus pandemic.
The first lady said healthcare workers are the ‘superheroes’ at this time of the pandemic.
“As we celebrate this year’s workers day, we have come together from different parts of the country to put our hands together and clap for all the frontline health care workers responding to the covid 19 pandemic, who have put their lives on the line on behalf of our dear nation at this very challenging and difficult time,” she wrote.
“We say Thank You so much, you are our superheroes. This message is from the Governors wives fora, the wife of the vice president and the first lady of Nigeria.”
As of Friday, Nigeria has 1,932 confirmed COVID-19 cases, with more than 100 healthcare workers infected.
