Wife of the President, Aisha Buhari, is set for the public presentation of her book titled The Essentials of Beauty Therapy this week in Abuja.
It coincides with the second anniversary of the kidnap of 276 female students of the Government Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State on April 14, 2014.
The launch is seen in Aso Rock quarters as an eloquent expression of the fact that the government is deeply concerned about the Chibok girls and the 59 boys killed at the Federal Government College Buni Yadi in Yobe State on February 25, 2014.
According to Mrs Buhari’s handlers, the presentation is a demonstration of her commitment to the amelioration of the plight of parents of the affected students and all whose lives have been shattered by Boko Haram terrorists.
Proceeds of the book launch will be dedicated towards charities and bettering the living conditions of families of the abducted girls, murdered boys and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).
Before becoming Nigeria’s first lady, Mrs Buhari was managing director of Hanzy Spa and principal of Hanzy Beauty Institute located in Kaduna and Abuja.
She holds a diploma in Beauty Therapy from the Carlton Institute of Beauty Therapy, Windsor, United Kingdom and a post-graduate diploma in cosmetology and beauty from Academy Esthetique Beauty Institute of France.
Her areas of speciality include permanent make-up, mesotherapy and micro-dermabrasion.
She is a member of the United Kingdom Vocational Training and Charitable Trust and the International Health and Beauty Council.
