The wife of the President, Aisha Buhari, has returned to Nigeria one week after travelling to the United Kingdom to visit her husband who is on medical leave.

Mrs Buhari arrived on Tuesday around 4:30am aboard a British Airways flight with a thank you message to Nigerians from President Muhammadu Buhari.
The President’s wife also conveyed the appreciation of her Husband to Nigerians over their constant prayers and said he will soon be with them as he is recuperating fast
She also thanked acting President Yemi Osinbajo for his loyalty to her husband and his commitment to pursuing the agenda of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
“I thank Allah for my safe trip to the UK where I visited Mr President.
“He thanks Nigerians for their constant prayers for his health and steadfastness in the face of challenges.
“He is soliciting for your continuous cooperation and support for the acting President towards achieving the mandate of this administration as contained in our APC manifesto so that we can build a very strong institution for a better future for our country Nigeria,” her aides quote her as saying.
The first lady left Nigeria on May 30 to spend some time with her husband who travelled to the UK on May 7 for medical follow-up.
The President had previously travelled to London in January 19 on an extended medical vacation and returned on March 10.
