Former first lady Aisha Buhari on Monday said that the Future Assured Primary School in Maiduguri, Borno State has commenced operation.
The school was built by the Aisha Buhari Foundation to cater for the educational needs of victims of Boko Haram insurgency in the state. It has a secondary arm called Future Assured College.
Mrs Buhari shared photos of the school on Instagram, noting that it already has over 500 pupils.

“Alhamdullilah…!!! Today, Future Assured Primary School Maiduguri has commenced activities, including the new Primary intake.
“We have over 500 Pupils and I have no doubt that good facilities and infrastructure are important for producing good educational outcomes,” she said.
Mrs Buhari thanked governor of Borno State Babagana Zulum for “equipping and feeding children in the school.”
She also thanked the embassies of China and Qatar for building the primary section as their contribution towards the education of orphans and displaced children of the victims of the Boko Haram insurgency.
