Co-convener of Bring Back Our Girls movement Aisha Yesufu and media personality Frank Edoho on Tuesday appeared to mock Nollywood actor Uche Maduagwu following an attack from fellow actor Jim Iyke.
The actors appeared in a viral video where Jim confronts Uche for labelling him a “fraudster” and “ritualist”. Jim then physically attacks Uche after the latter said the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission was coming for Jim.
Reacting to the incident, Mrs Yesufu tweeted that Jim reminded her of her younger self. She also mocked the recorder of the video for the amateur footage.
“Your job was simply to record! You were not the one giving nor receiving the blows yet you managed to mess up what should have been an award winning recording! Gosh!
“What Jim Iyke did is the younger me! Age mellows one,” she wrote.
When she was accused of encouraging violence by a critic, Yesufu replied, “Time to fix your thinking to focus on you rather than on others. The only control you have is over yourself. So, sleep tight.”
Edoho, on his part, made several comments about the incident. One of his tweets read, “A wise philosopher once said, ‘Avoid Jim Iyke’, you failed to listen. Now you don chop blow on top ‘EFCC are looking for you.'”
