Co-convener of Bring Back Our Girls movement Aisha Yesufu on Tuesday paid tributes to the late Nigerian-born Canadian professor and writer Prof. Pius Adesanmi.
Adesanmi was among 157 persons who died on March 10, 2019, when an Ethiopian Airlines Flight ET302 from Addis Ababa heading to Nairobi in Kenya crashed.
Mrs Yesufu recalled the literary icon’s last full day on earth and prayed for comfort for the family.
“All day @pius_adesanmi has been on my mind. Two years ago on this day he was still with us. May God continue to give his family the fortitude to bear his loss. You live on Pius!” she tweeted.
Adesanmi, who was born on February 27, 1972, was laid to rest in Ottawa, Canada on October 26, 2019.
Until his death, he was a professor of English at Carleton University in Canada.
