Co-convener of Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG) movement Aisha Yesufu has thanked the senior pastor of Daystar Christian Centre Sam Adeyemi for calling her husband Aliu on his cell phone.
Mr Aliu, although a Muslim, is a fan of Adeyemi, according to Yesufu.
He was infuriated when Adeyemi was included as part of those charged to court by a lawyer over the #EndSARS protest in October.
At the time, Adeyemi acknowledged the affection and extended regards to Yesufu’s husband.
Yesufu, however, tweeted on Thursday night, thanking the preacher for speaking with her husband, whom she said blushed at hearing Adeyemi’s voice.
“Awwwwww thank you @sam_adeyemi for calling my husband and speaking with him. It was lovely seeing my husband blush at hearing you on the other end,” she wrote.
Yesufu also thanked a former presidential candidate Oby Ezekwesili for “always coming through for me.”
She added that her husband was “so excited like a kid” and that she “got a big hug.”
Adeyemi, like many popular preachers in the country, had endorsed the #EndSARS protest against police brutality.
