Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, has mourned the victim of a school building collapse in the state.
A female student of Junior Secondary School 3 in St Andrew Grammar school, Ondo State, died on Friday after several blocks from the school building fell on her head.
The incident was said to have occurred at about 12noon Friday during school hours.
Mr Akeredolu, in a tweet, sent his condolences to the deceased’s family.
He assured that the Secretary to the State Government was at the scene of the incident.
“This is Tragic. The Secretary to the State Government is on the scene to assess the situation and I have interfaced with the police. My deepest condolences to her family. May her gentle soul Requiescet in pace,” he wrote.
The school principal, identified simply as Mr Oladunjoye, is said to have fled the school.
