Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, widow of former Ondo State governor Rotimi Akeredolu, on Saturday attended the convocation ceremony at Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA).
Mrs Anyanwu-Akeredolu shared pictures and videos of herself on social media in the university’s convocation attire.
One of her posts read, “30/11/24. The D-DAY is here. The doctorate degree convocation ceremony of FUTA. Behold, the Empress of Amotekun land! Aya Aketi – Dr. Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu.
She announced her doctorate degree back in August although didn’t state the field of study.
“HE. Chief Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu completes her PhD in FUTA. The external examiner, Prof. Funmilola Agbebi congratulates now Dr. Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu. It’s official!” Her post read.
Her husband died on December 27, 2023, aged 67 in a German hospital where he was receiving treatment for leukaemia and prostate cancer.
