Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, widow of former Ondo State governor Rotimi Akeredolu, has earned a doctorate degree at Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA).
Mrs Anyanwu-Akeredolu announced this on social media on Sunday. She didn’t state the field of study.
“HE. Chief Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu completes her PhD in FUTA. The external examiner, Prof. Funmilola Agbebi congratulates now Dr. Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu. It’s official!” Her post read.
This comes months after her husband’s death. Akeredolu died on December 27, 2023.
The former governor died aged 67 in a German hospital where he was receiving treatment for leukaemia and prostate cancer.
