A member of the House of Representatives Akin Alabi has clashed with some football fans on social media.
The clash began on Saturday after Alabi, who is a supporter of Manchester United, tweeted that the club’s manager Erik Ten Hag be sacked after just two games in charge. The team sits bottom of the Premier League table after two straight defeats.
Following Manchester United’s 4-0 loss away at Brentford, Alabi tweeted, “If you use academy players and lose to Brentford, we can console ourselves that we are planning for the future. With this, no result, no future. Sack Ten Hag now.”
Some sports fans reacted to his comments, saying the NairaBET founder wants Ten Hag fired after just two games in charge while he wants Nigerians to vote for the All Progressives Congress in 2023 despite Nigeria’s declining economy and insecurity under the party’s watch.
