US-based Duke University has honoured the president of African Development Bank Akinwumi Adesina with a doctorate.
Adesina shared on Tuesday photos from the conferment on Twitter.
He said, “It was an incredible honour to be conferred on May 8 with an honorary doctorate degree by Duke University, one of America’s topmost universities.
“Thank you President Price, Board of Trustees, and Duke University’s Faculty & Students. I am now a proud Duke!”
Adesina, however, maintained silence on the N100 million presidential nomination and expression of interest forms of the All Progressives Congress (APC) purchased for him by a coalition of 28 groups.
The groups includes Youth Arise Movement, Nigerians in Diaspora One Nigeria Group, Prudent Youth Association of Nigeria, women groups, farmers, people with disabilities and civil society organisations.
The former minister of agriculture in Nigeria is serving a second term as AfDB president, which will elapse in 2025.
