President of African Development Bank (AfD), Akinwumi Adesina, has celebrated his 35th wedding anniversary with wife, Grace.
Adesina, a former Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, in a tweet on Sunday, said he would not be who he is today without his wife whom he called his rock.
“Today is a special joyful day for me: 35 years ago I married my sweetheart, Grace Yemisi. I would not be who I am today without her. I will marry you again, honey, 35 times over. Happy 35th anniversary my sweetheart, rock and friend,” he said.
The pair got married in 1984 and have two children, Rotimi and Segun.
Adesina became the first Nigerian to hold the post of AfD President after his election in 2015.
Adesina and his wife, while at Purdue University, along with another couple, started a Christian group called the African Student Fellowship.
