Actor Alexx Ekubo has cautioned his senior colleague Regina Askia against speaking on singer D’banj’s arrest.
Qed.ng on Wednesday reported that D’banj was detained by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) for allegedly collaborating with some government officials to introduce ghost beneficiaries into the payroll of the N-Power scheme in order to divert funds.
Reposting the news of his arrest on her Instagram account, Regina Askia stated that she was going to share her thought on the situation once she confirms his arrest.
Following her post, Alexx Ekubo cautioned the 55-year-old against getting herself involved in the matter.
According to him, there are enough blogs to report on the issues and it was not their place to share “another person’s downfall”.
Alex wrote: “Mummy don’t think you should have posted this.”
Reacting to his statement, Regina appreciated him for looking out for her and promised to take down her post.
The Full Moon actress also posted screenshots of her conversations with Alexx regarding the matter.
“It will greatly make me happy, also mum pls don’t post any other person’s downfall or negative story especially our fellow entertainers, whether confirmed or not. There are enough gossip blogs for that already. We need more love & light blogs,” Alex wrote to Regina.
“Thanks for looking out for mama, at 55 shortly, I don’t care about likes or loves. But will take it down, if that makes u happy,” Regina replied.
