Nollywood actor and model, Alexx Ekubo, on Wednesday, condemned the two soldiers who were captured on video brutalising a physically challenged man in Onitsha for allegedly wearing an army camouflage.
A clip which has gone viral on social media shows the two soldiers dragging the crippled man on the ground while brutally flogging him.
They equally took the crippled man’s wheelchair, threw it away and then descended on him while passersby looked on helplessly.
This prompted the 31-year-old actor to join his voice with several others who condemned the men in uniform.
According to him, the act represents “gross misuse of power and arrant broad daylight disregard for civilians by the military”.
He wondered what wearing of camouflage had to do with the economic recession and other woes in the country.
