Kanywood actor Ali Nihu and actress Maryam Booth have shown support for their colleague Amal Umar who was arrested and arraigned in court over an alleged bribery.
Amal was arrested over an alleged attempt to bribe a policeman who was investigating a N40m fraud allegation against her boyfriend Ramadan Inukwa.
According to police spokesperson Bashir Mohammed, the actress offered N250k to the police in exchange for her car which was seized during the investigation as she admitted that the car was purchased with the fraudulent money her lover gifted her.
Reacting to the matter in an Instagram post on Thursday, Ali and Maryam shared Amal’s picture on their pages, asking her to stay strong.
“Stay Strong daughter @realamalumar,” Ali Nuhu wrote.
“Stay strong blood 🩸 innallaha ma asabrin @realamalumar,” Maryam added.
Meanwhile, police spokesperson also stated that Amal’s boyfriend has absconded after allegedly scamming one Alahaji Yusuf Adamu whom “he collected money from under the false pretence of a phone business”.
