Actress Kate Henshaw has remembered the murder of four students of the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) on the 10th anniversary of their death.
Kate on Monday, tweeted a post o by a tweep identified as Richie, praying that their souls will continue to rest in peace.
“Ten years ago, four uniport friends went to the house of a debtor to confiscate his laptops but were burnt to death after the debtor raised a false alarm claiming they were thieves,” Richie wrote.
Joining the tweet in remembering the students whose tragic death still remains fresh in the minds of Nigerians, Kate Henshaw wrote: “#Aluu4 May they continue to rest in peace. Will never forget the horrific video of their lynching.”
Lloyd Toku-Mike, 19, Tekena Friday Elkanah, 20, Ugonna Kelechi Obuzor, 18, and Chidiala Loroson Biringa, 20, were lynched for alleged stealing of mobile phones and laptops in Omuokiri-Aluu in Rivers State on October 5, 2012.
They had gone to meet a debtor who turned around to accuse them of robbery.
The debtor raised a false alarm which attracted local vigilantes, leading to the gruesome murder of the young men.
