National leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, and governor-elect of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, have attended the funeral of Oba Mufutau Hamzat, father of deputy governor-elect, Obafemi Hamzat.
Oba Hamzat, the traditional ruler of Afowowa Kingdom in Ewekoro local government area of Ogun State, died on Sunday aged 86 after a brief illness.
He was buried in his Lagos home in Ogba according to Islamic rites.
Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, was notably absent among dignitaries that were at the ceremony.
The governor is in Abuja on a visit to President Muhammadu Buhari.
Lagos State Deputy Governor, Oluranti Adebule, was at the funeral.
