Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, on Tuesday inaugurated a 20-man transition committee to ensure a smooth transition of power from the outgoing administration to the incoming.
Secretary to the State Government, Tunji Bello, represented Ambode at the inauguration held in Ikeja.
Mr Bello is also a co-chairman of the committee.
Ambode is expected to hand over power to the governor-elect, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, in May.

In response, Deputy Governor-elect and co-chairman of the committee, Obafemi Hamzat, assured that the handover would be seamless.
In his welcome address, Lagos State Head of Service, Hakeem Muri-Okunola, described the transition as the outcome of the ruling party’s success in the 2019 elections.
