Head of the Collation Centre Committee of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Amina Zakari, has come under criticisms as the commission has announced a shift in dates for the elections.
Mrs Zakari was formerly the head of electoral operations and logistics. She was then moved to the commission’s department of health before her new appointment on January 3 as head of collation.
INEC chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, had announced the postponement of elections in the early hours of Saturday on the grounds of logistic challenges.
Despite having dropped her position as head of electoral operations and logistics, Nigerians have taken to Twitter to criticise Zakari who is said to be a relative of President Muhammadu Buhari.
