Filmmaker Okey Ogunjiofor has said that winning the award for the best overall movie for his Netflix film Amina at the 2022 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award (2022) was his reward for 25 years of pain.
In an exclusive interview with Qed.ng on Thursday, the Living in Bondage producer pointed that while receiving the award at the ceremony held on Saturday, May 14, he was also trying to replay black the “25 years of excruciating pains” that he went through making the movie.
Okey Ogunjiofor pointed out that Amina was a huge success because it received both local and international recognition.
According to the filmmaker, Amina also became the most-streamed movie in 90 countries worldwide and the top 10 most streamed movies globally.
