Police in Anambra has arrested a 30-year old pastor, Nweke Chijioke, over the kidnap of an 11-year-old boy in Awkuzu, Oyi Local Government Area of the state.
Chijioke was said to have abducted the child, Ikechukwu Ozoekwe, at Umoubi community in the company of his colleague, Samuel Emeka.
Anambra police spokesperson, Haruna Mohammed, said on Thursday that the suspects allegedly abducted the boy on Wednesday and put him inside the boot of a vehicle.
Mr Mohammed said the victim was rescued in good condition and had been handed over to his mother.
The suspects will be charged to court after investigation, he said.
