Angela Okorie calls out Zubby Michael over video of cash gifts to Junior Pope’s family

Actress Angela Okorie has called out her colleague Zubby Michael over a video he posted on Instagram Story on Monday.

The video shows Zubby handing bundles of naira notes from a black bag to the family of the late actor Junior Pope with the caption “What bloggers would never post. Remain blessed and more wins @Zubbymicheal”.

Angela, who has been critical of Zubby since the death of Junior Pope, knocked him for this act which she termed unnecessary.

Reacting on Instagram, she wrote, “Zubby if you really wanted to give money to Junior Pop’s family, you for give them quietly.

“The way I dey take dey give you that year codedly nobody go know, you carry camera plant make dem dey video you dey give bundle of money to JP family, we all know you with propaganda just get out abeg.”

She went further to state that Junior Pope was a young man, hence Zubby’s actions were “unnecessary”.

Angela also wondered if Zubby was more wealthy than the dignitaries who attended the actor’s funeral.

Junior Pope was buried on May 17 in his hometown, Ikpogwu Ukehe in Nsukka, Enugu State.

Zubby, who was reportedly not in good terms with Junior Pope before the latter died, was present at the funeral with armed security operatives.

Also present at the funeral were the national president of Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas; Patience Ozokwo, Rita Edochie, Gentle Jack, Steve Eboh, E-Money, his brother Kcee, among others.

Junior Pope drowned on April 10, 2024 at the location of a movie titled The Other Side of Life produced by Adanma Luke.
