Actress Angela Okorie has stirred controversy after sharing a flier on Instagram, announcing that she would be featuring at a church crossover service.
The event, set to take place at The Victorious Christian Life Ministries in Festac Town, Lagos, is scheduled to begin at 10pm on Tuesday.
The flier features Angela’s image alongside Pastor Titus Ehizode, who would be ministering at the service.
Angela captioned the post, inviting her followers to join her in welcoming the new year. “Let’s Cross over into 2025 together,” she wrote.
“Come and be blessed 🙏.”
She went on to reflect on the year, expressing gratitude for God’s grace and mercy.
“Some people started 2024 with us but didn’t end the year with us. We are not better than them, but God kept us,” she continued.
“2025 must be the greatest year ever for all us, in Jesus name, Amen 🙏.”
The post, however, generated mixed reactions from fans.
While some expressed excitement, others criticised her for her perceived lifestyle choices.
Chinyere Reginald pointed out the contrast between her public persona and her faith writing, “Next minute you are praising God. Another minute you are partying and smoking Igbo. Nice one. God sees our hearts, which is the most important thing.”
Jenifer George also questioned her role, asking, “You are there as prophetess or what?”
Meanwhile, Gordon Atamuno seemed to mock Angela’s dual image commenting, “Ambassador for Christ and the devil as well. More Greece to your elbow ma’am.”
Pillar Junior made light of her appearance, commenting, “With this your BBL …😂”.
Blessed Ifeoma expressed support, stating, “I will be there live ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.”
Angela recently reconciled with actor Zubby Michael after a public feud.
In November, Zubby shared a video of the two laughing, sharing a joint and having light hearted exchange.
