Beninese-American music icon Angelique Kidjo has reacted to Wizkid’s congratulatory message on her Grammy award.
Kidjo’s Mother Nature album won the Best Global Music Album category at the 2022 Grammy Awards, defeating Wizkid, veteran singer Femi Kuti and others.
Congratulating the 60-year-old and South African DJ Black Coffee who also won a Grammy, Wizkid in an Instagram story on Tuesday wrote: “Love to my brother a true King Black Coffee and Queen Angelique Kidjo for consistently shining light to the continent African music rising.”
Reacting to Wizkid’s felicitation, Angelique reposted the message on her Instagram story with love emojis.
Femi Kuti also sent a congratulatory message to Kidjo on Twitter.
